In Asahikawa, Hokkaido, which is a UNESCO City of Design, a fieldwork and talk event titled “WOODS & DESIGN” were held as part of Asahikawa Design Week. Participants from various regions and fields gathered to engage with the challenges faced by the forestry, lumber, and furniture industries in Asahikawa and across Japan, all from the perspective of design and craftsmanship, making for an enriching two days.
