House of Mamba

Nike RISE
April 01, 2015

Conceived and produced as part of Nike Rise, a campaign dedicated to discovering exceptional basketball talent across China, “House of Mamba” is an immersive basketball court where technology and movement converge.

The court is constructed entirely from LED displays and integrated with motion-tracking technology, transforming the players’ physical movements into living visuals. Each player’s actions are captured in real time and rendered directly onto the luminous surface beneath their feet. Training programs also unfold across the court like a game, adapting dynamically to the skills and rhythms of each individual athlete.

Spanning approximately 30 × 15 meters, the court becomes a vast moving canvas—an unfamiliar yet exhilarating terrain where sport is performed atop light and imagery. Through a meticulous orchestration of visuals and motion, the project seeks to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience: one that resonates equally with the players who step into the space and the spectators who witness this dreamlike fusion of technology, body, and play.
